ABSTRACT: Article 81(1) of the Treaty of Rome prohibits all agreements, decisions and concerted practices that may affect trade between member states and that have as their object or effect the prevention, restriction or distortion of competition within the EU. Any agreement that is prohibited by this Article is automatically void.
