Yali Friedman named one of the 100 most influential people in biotechnology by Scientific American #BIO2015

Yali FriedmanScientific American has released its list of the 100 most influential people in biotechnology.

I am honored to be included in this exclusive list and recognized for my thought leadership on the business of biotechnology.

For more than a decade I have had the privilege to be an entrepreneur and academic without borders, researching and developing publications in areas of interest in commercial biotechnology. My first book, Building Biotechnology is used as a primer on the biotechnology industry and has been adopted by dozens of schools. Until very recently I was the editor of the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology, and I continue to serve as publisher. Additionally, I have been elucidating global innovation trends from my DrugPatentWatch database. I also serve as head of data analytics for Scientific American, where my lead product is the global biotechnology innovation ranking which I developed and continue to produce.

I am overjoyed to be recognized for my work, and look forward to future projects. To keep tabs on future projects, follow me at BiotechBlog.com or visit my homepage at thinkBiotech.com
