7 drug makers unveil elderly discounts Under pressure from consumers and lawmakers over drug prices, Abbott Laboratories and six other manufacturers are launching a discount card for seniors that would lop 20 percent to 40 percent off the price of more than 130 commonly prescribed medicines.
